At a Gunnison County Metropolitan Recreation District (Met Rec) public works session on November 17, Laura weighs in on Met Rec's role in planning the future of the county. In her roles with both CBMBA and CB Nordic, Laura is well versed in recreation in Gunnison County. Laura was also co-chair of the committee that passed Ballot Measure 7D that unlocked the potential of Met Rec by ensuring consistent funding.
Met rec should be at the table for regional planning.
“If we do build all the housing that's on the docket in the next five years, that's a lot of kids playing soccer, ” she pointed out.
Met Rec has a critical role in Gunnison County and our incredibly active community. As County Commissioner, Laura plans to continue to fight for regional planning that includes all stakeholders. Read more here!
